Class Features:

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The master alchemist gains no proficiencies with any weapons, armor, or shields.

Spellcasting: At each odd-numbered level, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one spellcasting class before becoming a master alchemist, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.
If you have no levels in any spellcasting class (such as by taking the Craft Alchemical Item feat), this class grants you the spellcasting ability of the Adept from 1st to 5th level. You do not gain levels in the adept class nor any of the other features of that class, but simply adopt that class's spellcasting progression and spell list as the spellcasting ability of this class.

Alchemical Reserve (Ex): You receive a pool of points you can spend instead of experience points and gold when creating alchemical items. You may spend your alchemical reserve to create alchemical items at a rate of 1 point per 10 gp of market value of the finished item (minimum 1 point), or 1 point per 1 XP. Each time you gain a class level, you receive a new alchemical reserve; leftover points from the previous level do not carry over. If the points are not spent, they are lost.
Upon reaching 10th level, you continue to gain 600 alchemical reserve every character level you achieve for the rest of your career.

Efficient Alchemy (Ex): You can manufacture alchemical items much more quickly than a typical alchemist. You make as much progress when creating an item with Craft (alchemy) in a day as a normal character would make in a week (check result × DC in sp), and as much progress in an hour as a normal character would make in a day (check result × DC in cp).

Bonus Feat: Your experimentation, tinkering, and copious research allows you to expand your knowledge of unique alchemical creations. You gain a bonus feat at 2nd level and every four levels thereafter (6th and 10th). For each of these bonus feats, you must choose a feat from the following list: Blacksand Alchemy, Dragoncrafter, Grell Alchemy, etc….

Alchemical Secret (Ex): Your continuous experimentation allows you to create much more powerful alchemical creations. At 2nd level and every two levels thereafter (4th level, 6th level, 8th level, and 10th level), you make a powerful discovery in your research and learn how to improve your alchemy in a significant way. Choose one alchemical secret from those described below at 2nd level and again at 4th level, 6th level, 8th level, and 10th level.
Applying an alchemical secret to an item or substance adds 5 to the DC required to create it and multiplies its base price by 2. You may modify an item or substance with multiple alchemical secrets at once, but you increase the DC by 5 and multiple the base price by 2 for each secret you apply.
  • Destructive: Deals double normal damage (if it deals damage).
  • Tenacious: Has twice the normal duration (if it has a duration).
  • Pervasive: Adds 2 to the save DC (if it has a save DC).
  • Expansive: Affects an area twice as wide as normal (if it has an area).
  • Supportive: Adds 1 to the bonus (if it grants a bonus).
If an item or substance doesn't fit any of these categories, then it cannot be affected by this ability.
