A large spider, about the size of a dog, with eight black eyes and thick black hair protruding from between black carapace. Its pincers make a clicking sound when it is agitated or excited.

Carapace: While an acromantula isn't particular tough, it does have an unusually durable carapace. An acromantula's carapace increases its physical durability by 1 point (already calculated in above), and by an additional 1 point for each point of Training used on this ability.
Speech: Acromantulas were bred to be guardian creatures for witches and wizards, giving them intelligence near that of a human and the capability for human speech. It requires 1 point of Training to teach an acromantula to speak, though it can always understand its trainer's primary language.
Venom: An acromantula's bite can inject a foe with a deadly poison. Damaging a creature with a bite attack makes the victim poisoned for 1d4 rounds. The duration of this poison is reduced by the victim's physical durability, but is increased by 1 round for each point of Training used on this ability.
Webbing: An acromantula can use a standard action to fling webbing at a creature within 30 feet with a physical combat check. A webbed creature is slowed for 1d4 rounds, and also takes a -5 penalty on Dodge checks. This penalty is reduced by the victim's physical durability, but the webbing's duration is increased by 1 round for each point of Training used on this ability.
